It took passion, inspiration and meticulous work from some people who decided to unearth the destroyed homes and restore them to the old glory of Imerovigli to shine again, getting spectacular results.
They wanted to put much emphasis on the lobby area, because of the fact that it’s a client’s first impression upon entering the space. It had to, then, present a very good first image, as well as the kitchen area did, having to change from a space meant for a breakfast and coffee to a more special area, where people could rest comfortably. Thus, a large yellow kitchen was built, with a large table where people can gather and relax.
The living room is populated by leather furniture and wooden tables with a retro touch that have as companion a thick wooden dining room table, itself coupled with leather chairs. These spaces are linear, clean, and clear.
The client had a number of different requirements by which the villa had to abide. These included items such as being able to enjoy both semi-private and private spaces, as well as employing the sea’s breeze without necessarily having direct access to the beaches.
The process to build a modern architecture in this particular area had to deal not only with from, not just focus on creating a less-is-more, clean and clear, box-like building but also, for its longevity, building needed to focus on providing some shading devices as well as a roof for the rain.
